"View from the River Boat"
"View from the River Boat"
Artist: Esperanza Deese
Medium: Acrylic on Board
Dimensions: 8 x 10
About this Artwork: Nine years ago, I had the chance to visit Paris. One of the modes of transport that I enjoyed was the "Batobus" (literally translated "boat-bus") which is a hop-on hop-off ferry boat that traverses the Seine River with stops at each of the famous landmarks of Paris. This artwork is based on a photo I took of the Eiffel Tower as we were cruising by it one evening. The photo was slightly wonky but I liked that it shares the perspective from a boat passenger. Hence I painted it that way to share that experience with the viewer.
About the Artist: Esperanza is an oil and acrylic painter who loves creating colorful artwork inspired by the beauty of the local beaches and sceneries of Southern California and other places she visits. She enjoys painting people and animals as they go about their everyday activities, as well as flowers, fruits and other everyday objects that catches her eye.
