"The Warrior"

This special orange and violet dragonfly I photographed embodied a striking presence as it perched atop a marsh plant, creating an illusion of horns that exuded strong warrior energy. It is a profound honor and blessing to be in the presence of dragonflies. Dragonflies remind us that life is precious, to be present, to embrace change and  to cherish every moment of your life with passion.

Redondo Beach photographer, Lisa Ferrin focuses on humanity and the simple beauty found in nature through the images she captures. She has a special heart for photographing dragonflies, and the power of human connection. Her inspiration evolved from the beautiful love she has for her Son Elijah who has Down syndrome. In 2017, 2018 she showcased her photography at Frame & Art Dept with  a solo show, titled, "The Power of Hugs". that featured her son's touching hugs with strangers.
