"Sunset Poetry"

Sunset Poetry is a pale-colored quiet looking sunset with clouds looming overhead and an active ocean beneath. It has just enough mystery, like life.  All is good one minute and then things can change in the blink of an eye...maybe a storm, maybe something on a more personal level. 

This piece is an acrylic painting with gold and silver leaf faux encaustic.

Artist: Karen Baughman

Karen Baughman is a contemporary artist residing in the South Bay.  She has a background in graphic design, interior design and fine art.  Her focus is on creating pieces that aren't entirely representational.  Of her work she says... "I enjoy creating pieces that allows a different narrative for each viewer.  Most of my ocean pieces have a calming Zen-like quality."  Her work has been in domestic and international exhibitions.
