About this Artwork: I found this incredible distressed sign a little off the beaten path in Needles, CA.  Returning from a horribly unsuccessful photography trip (it happens), I stopped to gas up, took a wrong turn out of the station, and discovered this beauty.  I'm a huge fan of all things mid-century modern, especially retro signage.  Now on Highway 40, formerly "Route 66", this brings back all the glamour, hope, and promise of the 1950's and 60's.

About the Artist: A few years ago, a friend asked me to join her photography class, and the result changed my life.  I discovered how photography allows us to capture not just a moment, but the feelings within it.  I'm passionate about finding the beauty, emotion, and wonder around us and preserving it in photographs.
