"Paper Tree"
"Paper Tree"
Creating with the concept of Mottainai, Japanese word that embodies the beauty of reclaimed materials and a deep respect for resources by minimizing waste and valuing what already exists, I used newspapers, grocery ads, junk mail and store catalogs to collage this artwork. Since paper is made primarily from wood pulp, I recreated a tree out of these recycled paper materials.
