"Eaves of the Marigny"

This was one of my favorite moments walking around the Marigny (between the French Quarter and Bywater).  This section of New Orleans in filled with single and double shotgun houses with elaborate molding and even brighter colors.  These two homes were some of the most spectacular; I hope capturing them gives people a sense of this magical neighborhood.

I discovered photography as an art form a few years ago.  I was blessed with a very good friend and an inspired mentor.  I strive to find those moments, whether in portraiture, architecture, or musical performances, where a photograph can freeze the emotions of a certain place and time.  I hope my work conveys my love for all the beauty around us, every day (but maybe especially when visiting New Orleans).
