Artist Statement: I feel happy, whole, nurtured, when my husband brings me flowers, and when he does, I paint them.  Pastel allows me to get my fingers right into the surface of the sanded pastel paper and "feel" the colors and vibrations.

Artist Bio: I paint in several mediums including watercolor, oil, pastel, and oil.  My favorite is pastel which allows me to get my fingers right into the painting rather than being separated by a brush.  I love the use of color and I enjoy many different subjects including flowers, landscapes, seascapes, and abstracts.  Lately I have been putting figures into some of my paintings, which adds a new dimension to the craft.  I have been in many art shows over the last several years.
